Adding a Foot of Color

Who says bridal shoes need to be white? Or off-white, or ivory, or any color that is the same color as your dress for that matter? One of my favorite bridal fashion trends is bright, colorful, playful shoes. Wearing your favorite color on your feet really allows your personality to shine through to your wedding-day ensemble. If your dress is long, not everyone will notice them right away, but they’ll peek out at moments throughout the day and make people smile.

Foot of Color

I wore orange satin peep-toe slingbacks for my wedding and still get compliments to this day – people just couldn’t believe that I had the nerve to wear orange shoes with an ivory dress, but they loved that I did and agreed that anything else just wouldn’t be me.

So don’t be afraid of color – you can pick your all-time favorite, or find inspiration through your wedding colors, bridesmaid dresses, flowers, or even venue. And if you’re still looking for that special “something blue”, why not wear blue shoes?

Check out some of my favorites (displayed in the above inspiration board I created).
