I like the idea of the second wedding dress. After-all, it is the bride’s day. She should be able to be comfortable and enjoy the reception.

We agree Joey. It really does come down to personal preference. Some couples put more importance on being present for the entire event and therefore welcome a more modern approach; others, however, prefer to stick with traditional values. Ultimately, you just have to do what fits your style and comfort level. Thanks for your feedback everyone!

I was married for almost 2 years but never had my wedding day. Now that I’m divorced I hope to have my dream wedding day someday. Though I’m in no major hurry right now, ha. But a girl still likes to dream about it! : ) What a great Site, very informative. I will definitely spread the word to my friends and family of this site who are planning to get married.

Very good information! I wish I would have had some wedding help when I got married last year. It was too much to deal with so I just ended up getting married in Vegas.

I have been to so many weddings in that past year and its been fun to see how some have kept up with the traditions and some are completely different. I think that there are certain traditions that should be kept I still believe in the not seeing each other before the ceremony, but the cutting of the cake seems to be something that has not been a big deal as much anymore. It will be interesting to see how different things are 20 years from now.
