The Importance of the Bride and Groom’s Wedding Grand Exit

I witnessed an old tradition recently at a wedding I worked at, and was so impressed by how elegantly the bride and groom pulled it off, that I thought I would share it with all of you – it was the wedding grand exit. Not many people do this anymore since after-parties have become all the rage, but I think there’s something very sweet and romantic about the bride and groom making an exit as the guests cheer them on.

There are countless ways to make a grand exit, from simply driving off into the sunset as guests wave sparklers, blow bubbles, or throw confetti; to jumping into a helicopter, boat, or horse and buggy while fireworks light up the sky. Whichever style you choose, make sure you slip into something a bit more comfortable first – enter the getaway dress – what a great excuse for a wardrobe change!

It also leaves one last warmhearted memory of the day for your guests as they make their way home.
