I am a future bride. I eat, sleep, and breathe wedding details. I have been to probably 15 weddings in my lifetime and now it is my turn. I am simply looking for an unconventional, memorable, and beautiful wedding. Is that too much to ask? I don’t think so either and that is why I thought I’d share my journey with you! Read More…

When You Wish Upon a Star with a Budget
Disney Themed Wedding Ideas for all Budgets
With your budget and pseudo guest list in tow, you can now look for the spot. Of course, everyone I knew assumed that I was going to get married in Disney World especially since that’s where we got engaged. Believe me, I have been researching such a wedding since I knew it was possible.

Disney has an infinite amount of possibilities for future brides. You can do your nuptials at one of the hotels with the theme parks in the background. You can say, “I do” in one of the theme parks. Cinderella’s coach can carry you down Main Street. Mickey and Minnie (or any of the characters) can make an appearance at your reception. You can even stay in Cinderella’s castle! (It only has ONE hotel room.) Disney even has a bridal collection!

If you are planning to wed at WDW or Disneyland, then visit the Disney Weddings website. For big weddings, they have the option between the Wishes Collection, which is more traditional and the Couture Collection. The Disney team wedding planners do everything, all you have to do is pick what you want.
If your dream is a wish that your heart makes but your wallet can’t match up then you can choose the Escape Collection, which is for more intimate affairs. However, you are going to have to keep it to your closest friends and/or family because you can only have twenty people (including you and your fiancé).
Looking to have a Disney affair without the entire Disney atmosphere? Try out the Disney Cruise line.

Now if you know anything about the admission price for the theme parks of Disney, getting married there comes with a pretty hefty price tag. The more Disney you add into it, the heavier the tag.
In fact, the price was the only deterring factor for me. However, I have found ways to incorporate my favorite memories from my favorite company. In the Disney parks, there is phenomenon called “Hidden Mickeys”.

According to www.hiddenmickeys.org, “A Hidden Mickey is an image of Mickey Mouse concealed in the design of a Disney attraction (ride, resort, etc…). “ So I have incorporated this theme into my wedding. There will also be a not so hidden Mickey and Minnie figurine … I highly recommend looking into Disney themed cake toppers!
There is an embossed Mickey ears on the envelope of my invitation. I am thinking of incorporating a hidden Mickey at every table; however, I haven’t decided what it is going to be yet, and I don’t want to take all of the fun out of finding them for my guests!
