Alternative Groomsmen Gifts

Different Ideas for Groomsmen Gifts

They’ve been there to guide your future husband as he prepares for the big day. They’re there to stand beside him as he says his vows. They’re there to make sure he doesn’t break his ankle trying to do a handstand during the bachelor party BBQ. Shouldn’t you get your groomsmen something nice in return?

So many groomsmen gifts seem to be focused on three things: bars, cards, and engraved things. Now, I’m not entirely against any of these items, but I think it’s time to expand a little bit. These are your new brother-in-laws and your new Sunday football buddies. Start off on the right foot and get them some of these awesome “alternative” gifts.

How about an awesome handmade wallet?

Or a necktie that they’d be excited to wear to work?

I’m not sure I’m cool enough to pull off this belt buckle, but I have some friends who could :)

And I know I said that we should move away from barware, but I couldn’t resist these recycled bottle glasses.

This might be my favorite though. It’s PacMan (and Galaga, Pole Position, New Rally-X, DigDug, Pac & Pal, Super Pac-Man, Mappy, Galaxian, Xevious, Bosconian, and Pac-Man Plus)! Right in the controller! You just plug it into your TV. OK so I might get one for each of the groomsmen AND one for me. They’ll never know :) .

I also love these. Next time someone asks for their drink “on the rocks” give it to them with Whiskey Stones. To quote ThinkGeek, “These little ice-imitators are specially designed to put a slight chill in your Whiskey. All you do is put them in the freezer for a few hours and then pop a couple into a glass of single malt. Once you’re done, rinse, dry and do it all over again! And no need to worry about a watery drink, because these stones don’t dilute (that’s the best part).”

What awesome gifts are you planning to give to your groomsmen (provided they weren’t the ones encouraging your fiance to do the handstand in the first place :) )?

As a groom, it is your right – nay, your duty as a newlywed to carry your bride over the threshold. If you ranked the top masculine moments of your life, scooping up your woman and whisking her into your new home will just barely beat out the time you shared cigars and scotch with your bros after presenting them personalized humidors as groomsmen gifts.

Most of the time, the groom usually leaves the majority of the wedding details in the bride’s hands. She decides on what color motif the wedding will be, what the cake will look like, what the bridesmaids are going to wear and even what kind of flower to use for her bouquet or her wedding decor.

Personalized groomsmen gifts made of leather really make a stand out approach for the people around. Another good product would be the personalized credit card case or the good old leather wallet. This is just right for those who like to charge plenty of times. The embodiment of your initials in the case would add an elegant feature to it.

Great ideas! It’s nice to surprise your groomsmen with a gift that is less traditional.
