Table Numbers to Talk About

First off, Greetings from the Windy City! This is my first blog post, so I wanted to write about something that is fresh in my mind…custom table numbers. I just made some awesomely fun ones for a wedding held this past weekend. These “Us at Age…” Table Numbers not only were totally unique to the couple, but also a lot of fun for the guests to view.

For this type of table number, the couple (or their parents) have to scan a bunch of old images at 300 dpi and save as jpeg files. They then send me a CD if images, and I convert all images to B&W and crop them to a standard size for a nicer, more neutral, uniform look. I then print them on photo paper and mount them to card stock with spray glue and attach the “Us at Age…” circle with a tape doughnut. (A tape doughnut is just a piece of tape looped onto itself). To make them stand up, I found these GREAT mini self-stick easel-backs at Blick Art Supply. They are perfect for wedding table numbers and signs because they fold flat for easy transportation and then pop up for easy display. Sometimes I think they invented them with me in mind!

What a novel idea for the table numbers. That could also help the families interact with each other as I’m sure curiosity would have everyone wanting to walk from table to table looking at the pictures of the bride and groom!
