To Have and to Hold On for Dear Life!

Daredevil couple Sandra Eens and Jeroen Kippers, of Brussels, paid nearly $10,000 for the privilege of being married on a platform 150 feet off the ground (yes, you read that correctly) and then leaping off it in full wedding regalia.  They sealed the deal with a kiss, while hanging upside-down, at the end of a bungee cord.  The ceremony and subsequent jump were witnessed by a handful of their closest friends and family members.  Doesn’t exactly scream romance to me…but then again, I am partial to weddings that take place on a little thing I like to call THE GROUND!

The giveaway winner is Paula Malozowski!  The winning comment that was submitted on September 24 and selected in a random drawing is:

“I <3 Williams Sonoma and have registered here (http://www.williams-sonoma.com/registry/2623346/registry-list.html). I can’t wait to use all the fun gadgets and the serving platters to create our first Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is our most important family holiday and we ALWAYS spend it together. Usually, each family unit makes something and my mom makes the mainstays. This year, I’d love to do the cooking myself, with my new husband as the best sous-chef ever!

The moment I knew — we got to know one another playing pub trivia. Every Tuesday a bunch of us would get together, drink some adult beverages and answer random trivia. I slowly started to notice that we always knew the same answers! One day, I’d quote a line from a movie, and he’d quote the next one back. The next day, I’d make a silly joke and find blank stares from all of our friends, while he was laughing his butt off! That is the moment I knew that we’d always make one another laugh, we’d always be on the same wavelength and that we were meant to be together.”

Congratulations Paula!  You will be contacted shortly with the details of your prize.
