Custom Chicago Wedding by Wedding Creativo!

I love when couples get creative with their wedding plans – custom designing all elements to simply be about them!  Elaine and Steve did exactly that.  DIY projects, no maid of honor, no best man … just the bride and groom immersed in an event that was totally made for them.  With the help of their AMAZING wedding photographers, Wedding Creativo, today we are sharing their wedding with you!

Wedding Creativo is an award-winning two-photographer studio based in Chicago IL. Photographers Giorgio and Sarah specialize in premium services with a creative editorial style. Here are their photos from Elaine and Steve’s wonderfully customized wedding day!

Elaine: “I guess you could say it all started with the rings!!!!! Steve (being the most amazing man I’ve ever met) custom designed the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen. After seeing how perfect it was for me, I knew I had the challenge of creating the perfect ring for him! So, I ended up with a ring which embraced my love for art deco and art nouveau and the color green … and his ring has our initials in binary code engraved in it (Steve was a math major – always talking about binary code)”

Before the wedding Elaine and Steve met up with Wedding Creativo and hopped around to a few fun locations for a photoshoot!

Elaine: “Steve and I just usually drum to a different beat so our wedding would be no exception.  We started our plans with the location – A New Leaf!  WOW… amazing raw space that is just fantastic on it’s own. Then we chose the photographers, Wedding Creativo, they were so wonderful and fun -making the day just fly by and we looked amazing in all of the photos!”

Elaine: “One of the most amazing ideas came from Steve. My last name was Kies and I was going to be changing it to Iannaccone. So to honor my family name, Steve and I bought old antique skeleton keys and had them power coated with our wedding colors, apple green, lemon yellow and charcoal gray. They looked amazing! We then tied small ribbons on all of the keys and had buttons made to pin them on each guest as a wedding favor. This was me giving away my Kies it was such a sweet gesture.”

Elaine: “There were so many little things that Steve and I did together. We put everything we loved together to share with everyone we love for one day of fun. From the Scotch bar to the Cava we picked because our trip to the winery in Spain … the cigar bar because of Steve’s love for cigars to the assortment of pies. There are so many things that I could add but it would be a novel by the time I finished. I truly hope this inspires everyone to create a wedding that is exactly what they want and not what everyone tells them to do. I promise you will never regret creating a one-of-a-kind wedding that you will remember always.”
