Coors Field Engagement Shoot!

Since Tiffany and Michael are both high school coaches in Pueblo, CO, they decided to do a baseball themed engagement shoot!  Here are the photos from the fabulous Sharon of Sharon Arnoldi Photography

Tiffany’s father grew up with the coach of the Colorado Rockies and since the couple was familiar with the field, they chose Coors Field for the location of the shoot.

Wedding Colors: Orange Sherbet and Pink Lemonade

If you are having a summer wedding, a wonderful color combo you might want to consider is Orange and Pink. These bright colors always remind me of a summer day at the pool eating orange sherbet ice cream and sipping pink lemonade.

An orange and pink theme translates well into a wedding affair. Try to think about fun and interesting ways to introduce these colors into your wedding décor. These colors can be used in patterns, decorated paper, colorful shoes and even the wedding cake. They can also be included in the groom’s attire with colorful pink and orange socks or even a bowtie!

The key factor in using such a vibrate color palette is to use these colors in fun, yet tasteful ways. This will leave your wedding guests saying to themselves ‘Wow, this wedding is so creative, I would have never expected it.’

2 For 1 Wedding Dress

The convertible wedding dress is such a great idea.  It has really become popular within the last couple years, but it is a trend that is long overdue!  It is an extremely economical way to have two wedding dresses for the price of one.

I absolutely love how the dresses below don’t look like a convertible dress, they simply look like a matching shorter dress to the wedding gown… love that!

The floral detailing on this dress is amazing.  It magically hides the two pieces of this wedding gown well.

This dress is a beauty.  Take off the detachable sleeves and the skirt and you have a beautiful lace dress for your reception.

This dress is simple, yet elegant.  I really like the simplicity of this gown and once you detach the skirt, you have an adorable dress to dance the night away in during your reception.

This is a dress for the modern bride.  I love the two pieces of this gown, because they are both so versatile.  I think the best part about removing the skirt under this dress is that it revealed the beautiful baby blue shoes she is wearing… I love her shoes!

Beauty Must Have: Your Wedding Day Survival Kit

You’ve been preparing for your big day for months, now you have to be sure you are prepared ON the big day!  All brides need a survival kit so here are your 10 beauty must haves.  Leave your kit in your bridal room or give it to your MOH to hang onto just in case!

1. First and foremost is fashion tape.  Trust me, no wedding planner leaves home without it.  It can fix a ripped hem in a jiffy or if you have a bridesmaid that is constantly doing the strapless dress shimmy to cover her chest, this would also be perfect for her.  Plus, look at this darling tin it comes in!

2. You should have a mini/travel size hairspray for when your dance moves are more than your hair can handle.

3. While you are getting your hair done, ask your hair stylist to give you a dozen hair pins just in case.

4. Blotting papers will take away shine without adding un-needed makeup.  They will soak up oil so you can still look great in pictures at the end of the night.  Don’t be afraid to use them on your groom too!

5. Kissing your groom and kissing the cheeks of your guests will take that color right off your lips.  Be sure you have your lipgloss or lipstick handy.

6. Dental Floss will be your best friend after your meal.  Keep that smile shining!

7. Find a purse size perfume.  You’ll need a little spritz at the reception, by that time, the perfume you put on before you said “I Do” will be wearing off.

8. Tears may be falling so be prepared with some tissues.  Etsy has a lot of options for tissue holders that come in all different colors and patterns so you can coordinate it with your wedding colors!

9. Eye drops will come in handy if you know you are going to cry to give your eyes a pick me up.

10. A compact mirror is a must!

Shawna and Seth’s backyard wedding was filled with DIY projects!  They were lucky to have family who went above and beyond to make their wedding day customized with personal touches.  Here is a little more about the day from their wonderful photographers Kurtis and Jen from Bowersock Photographers

Shawna and Seth planned the best DIY wedding ever.  And I mean EVER.  Shawna’s family bubbles over with talent and creativity, and all hands were on deck for their stellar backyard celebration.  We’d been anxious for this wedding all year, knowing that it was going to contain so many meaningful elements and personal touches.  The day was perfect, the weather couldn’t have been better, and their family/friends…well, we now understand why they are totally adored by Shawna and Seth.
