Sweet Sorbet

Ice Cream vs. Sorbet… the age old question.  Ice Cream appears to have won this overwhelming debate recently, but we should all give sorbet a second thought!

Sorbet refreshers at a wedding reception seem to have been forgotten lately. As a guest at a wedding, offered a sweet sorbet by the bride and groom, you are amazingly refreshed and grateful for the cool tasty treat.

It’s light and delicately sweet.  The colorful options with sorbet are also a welcome addition to your wedding reception.  You can blend the  colors well with your wedding day decor and the flavors that match the colors are just as brilliant.

You should really consider offering your wedding guests sorbet as a dinner refresher… they will certainly be grateful!

Etiquette Emergency: Planning with Imagination

love bug

Q: I finally think that I have met someone that I will marry. I first married when I was only 20 years old which was a mistake because I still had a lot of maturing to do. Nonetheless, the marriage lasted for about five years. I am now 34 soon to be 35 and will probably get married sometime next year. I don’t think it would be in good taste to have something large scaled such as a large bridal party (of more than two people) because it will be a second marriage for me. I am also thinking of wearing a nontraditional wedding dress. What is the rule of thumb on these issues???

A: In general, 2nd weddings are a bit smaller than the first, but not always. The biggest factors when planning your wedding are your and your fiancés’ desires and tastes. You will also need to take into consideration your close friends and family. (For example, do either of you have children who should be involved in the wedding ceremony?) The reality is that you are constrained by only by your imagination and your budget. Your first step is to develop your budget. How much can do you have to spend on your wedding? Then you will need to consider if you prefer to have cocktails and a DJ for 75 or a sit-down meal with a quartet for 25. As you know, life is a series of choices and decisions. Once you have your bottom line dollars, the rest will begin to fall into place.

Crystal Clear

What I love about weddings is the elegance and refinement of it all. A wedding is decadent and graceful … and the only day in your life that is accepted to be over the top and high budgeted.

Although a wedding is socially accepted to be a high priced event, it doesn’t have to be. A wedding can look like an expensive event but be budget friendly too. This is a strange and new concept for most. After all, it seems too good to be true. Well, I have one word for you: Crystal.

A little Crystal is a lovely way to dress up an event. It looks expensive and glamorous! But I have a little trick up my sleeve … use vintage chandeliers for your wedding! Crystal chandeliers can be found at flea markets and so can spare parts too! With a little imagination, you can create table centerpieces, crystal bridal bouquets and even jewelry!

Just look below and it will be crystal clear:

Why being a bit crazy can help you be wealthy: Part 2

In my last post, I talked about the definition of Crazy Wealth™ and how so many people are missing the key to attracting and keeping more money in their pockets—expansive feelings like joy, excitement, and enthusiasm. In case you forgot, Crazy Wealth™ is having the ability and freedom to enjoy and experience life to the fullest.

So how do you create Crazy Wealth™ in your life? There are many ways, but here are three quick tips to get you started.

couple having fun

  1. Laugh: Watch a silly movie or tell a joke. A good laugh instantly lifts your mood and sends a positive message to the Universe!
  2. Play: Chase your partner around the house (playfully, not with a frying pan), jump in puddles, make shadow puppets. Adults need to play too.
  3. Smile: Yes, just smile. Even if you don’t feel like it, find something to smile about. Smile at strangers on the street. Smile at yourself in the mirror. Smiling can instantly lift your mood and you never know whose day you’re making better.

You know you’re doing it right when people start looking at you like you’re crazy.

None of those tips had anything to do with spending money and that’s the whole point. You need to FEEL joy and happiness FIRST and then the money and other good stuff will come. Do whatever it takes. The more you feel those wonderful expansive feelings in a day, the more you let the Universe know you’re ready for amazing opportunities and experiences to come your way. So get a little crazy.

I know it can be really difficult when you are faced with stressful money situations to laugh and have fun. But that is exactly WHY it’s so important (in a healthy way). You need to break the cycle of having so many negative thoughts and feelings about your money and allow the positive thoughts and feelings to shine through. So lighten up and have fun. You’ll enjoy life so much more and ultimately, get more of the things you really want.

Please leave a comment below telling me what you’re going to do to add a little crazy in your life.
