This month’s etsy eye candy post is all about pink! One of October’s birthstones is Pink Tourmaline, a light pink stone, so I’ve rounded up some pink wedding goodies from Etsy.
But first, I must say … I am not a pink person. For some unknown reason, whenever I think of light pink as a wedding color, I automatically picture an outdated wedding – you know, one where the bridesmaids are dressed in not-so-modern (to put it lightly) dresses. Like, say … these ones?
Don’t worry!! The good news is … while the wedding above may have been in style at one point in time, it is now a thing of the past! And if any of you also picture the above image when thinking of a pink wedding … my objective today is to wash that away and replace it with a vision of a lovely light pink wedding that is modern, chic and totally sweet! For example, take a look below.
I’ve come around and am loving these pretty pink wedding details! Now we know a wedding can be simply lovely with touches of light pink. What now? Bring on the Etsy! Below are some ideas for beautiful pink wedding details. Just click on the image to hop over to the wonderful shop where the item is sold.
I think this soft pink dress would make a perfect bridesmaid dress for a modern light pink wedding!

Tying It All Together
I happen to love velvet ribbon. I can’t explain it. It just appeals to me. Velvet is luxurious, expensive and festive. In a search to find a way tie velvet ribbon into wedding décor, I decided on tying ribbon to your wedding bouquet! Velvet makes such a lovely final touch to a bouquet. It’s a wedding accent that every guest will notice.
Wrapping your wedding bouquet stems with velvet ribbon is a great way to add some extra texture and color to your florals. Use your wedding colors to pull the velvet in with the rest of your wedding details. For example, if your wedding colors are orange and white, think about having a monochromatic scheme of white flowers and tying an orange velvet ribbon around its stems.
Another way to spice up your wedding bouquet with velvet is by adding another accent to it. Think about using pearls, rhinestones and other accents to your bouquet as an added pop. Here is some inspiration …
