Inspired by pink color pairings, we decided to try out a beautiful palette of pink, dark taupe, gold and crisp white for our contemporary rooftop reception. To achieve a modern vibe we used square tables, square plates, and contemporary clean-lines vases. The linens were integral in achieving the look we were going for. Contemporary napkin folds and chair tie treatments were done instead of traditional ones.
Modern accessories were featured at this wedding including a satin flower headband and coordinating taupe flower girl basket, a wrist corsage made with a satin flower for the mothers, bridesmaids’ bouquets made of satin flowers, and a chic bouquet for the bride made of peonies, spray roses and satin flower stems.
Peonies, callas and hydrangea were used to create an ombre look in the centerpieces. This made for a unique, modern statement that was sure to wow the guests. To compliment these arrangements, we included a sandblasted Manzanita branch to bring in an organic shape and placed gold mercury glass votives and plates of colorful pink & taupe cookies nearby, with each place setting getting a votive holder vase with flower and place card. These vases functioned as both décor and favor.
Of course the ambiance would not have been complete without the beautiful views from the rooftop terrace at Hotel Arista. What a perfect spot for such a modern, elegant affair!
