Good morning, brides! Let’s jump right in and get this week started off with an elegant Ohio wedding. Jacalyn from JMM Photography is with us to share the details and her lovely photos from Amber and Mike’s wedding day.
Jacalyn: Amber and Mike are one of those couples you can’t ever forget. They met while attending the University of Kentucky and reside in Lousville, but returned to Mike’s home state of Ohio for the wedding. The couple wanted a classic affair with modern touches – and tons of candles! The color palette was simple, yet stunning combination of white, black and silver. Gorgeous white blooms were paired with lush greens for striking centerpieces. The tables were draped in black pintuck linens and covered in a mix of clear and mercury glass votives.
The couple was blessed with blue skies and 60 degree weather for their December date. The church sidewalks were lined with luminaries and lanterns. There was a bouquet at the entrance to honor guests that have passed away, including the bride’s mother. The reception was at a nearby Country Club where the 24/7 band from Nashville kept the dance floor packed. There was a surprise appearance by the UK Wildcat and all of the UK alumni in attendance posed for a picture with him. The couple sent guest home with a sweet treat to represent the couple’s home states – Ohio and Kenucky – an adorable box containing a buckeye and bourbon balls. Their wedding was classically beautiful with some good ole’ UK touches!
Congratulations Amber and Mike!
