I love it when a couple includes the beloved family pet in their engagement shoot.  It only adds to the fun and overall sweetness of the session. This adorable couple’s engagement shoot was captured by Nichole Taylor Photography.  We are thrilled to share their engagement pictures with you today!

From Nichole: Cait and Jeff are meant for each other.  I was so lucky to be asked to photograph their engagement shoot, and I am so excited for their wedding next summer!  For their engagement shoot, we traveled to beautiful East Sooke Regional Park, and they brought along their precious rescue dog, Zelda.  She was the perfect addition to this shoot – cute and full of personality!  They love animals and Cait is also a photographer.  It was a beautiful day, and these two are so in love, it was easy to capture.

Here is their story as told by Cait:

“Jeff and I first met in grade 10, and we dated for a few months then. We kept in touch over the years, graduating high school, and then meeting for coffee dates once a year as our lives went in separate ways. I traveled and went to UBC (photographer’s note: University of British Columbia), he went to UVIC (photographer’s note: University of Victoria). We always met for our yearly coffee dates in May, and at that one in 2011 we decided that we couldn’t be apart. We started dating right after that, and have been together ever since.

The proposal was sweet and quiet, and completely us. We had actually been through a very scary moment with our little cat – he had broken his femur completely, and we had an emergency vet visit, and surgery scheduled. We already knew that we were going to get engaged soon, but that was the catalyst – we realized how precious our little family was, and that this was 100% it.”
