A Hint Of Mint Bar

While looking through some of the wedding inspiration that I’ve held onto over time, I ran across this lovely photo shoot at Green Wedding Shoes and could not get enough of the sweet, southern inspired Hint of Mint Bar.

To say that this photo shoot is cute is an understatement… it is absolutely gorgeous and oh so sweet. The thought of having a Hint of Mint Bar at an outdoor southern wedding, on a cool spring day, is a perfect pairing! In the words of the designer… Guests could create their own cocktail with their choice of bourbon + sweet tea (southern style) OR rum and peach nectar (cali style), then muddle some mint, and select their type of sugar + fruit.

Having signature drinks, especially with a themed wedding, ties everything together so well. The menu specifically spelling out the drink and the ingredients, is a great way to keep your guests engaged as to why you chose those particular drinks.

No detail was forgotten with this wedding Hint of Mint Bar… the labeled juices and straws are adorable and the oatmeal whopping pies for desert are perfect! I Love Southern Hospitality!

Luau Fun for All

Most brides are so consumed with planning their wedding day that the other bridal events get left in the dust. Think about having a themed engagement party or bridal shower. Themed parties are just so much fun for all guests. Your family and friends will surely love it.

When planning a luau party, make sure you have mini umbrellas for your cocktails, lays for every guest to wear, and party fans for a giveaway. Make sure to create luau themed desserts for all your guests, like shell shaped cookies and cupcakes with bright flowers. From details to centerpieces and decor, this shower theme can easily be achieved!

Veil-uminous!

Small French Veils or Birdcage veils are a great option for brides that want a small veil. They are more versatile than many think… you can wear them fully covering your face, or maybe just swooping over one eye. There are many options…

Adding accessories to your net veil is another great option. You can add feathers, jewels, flowers, etc… The great thing about a small net veil is that it’s just subtle enough to be noticed. Strange how that works, huh!?!

Mad About Pinwheels

I love creative DIY projects for weddings! I believe any way to save a dollar when planning a wedding is a good thing. That is why I am in love with the fact that pinwheels are now in style for party décor. Pinwheels are easy to make and are fun to play with. If you make 100 pinwheels … you have yourself an art installation!

Think about placing pinwheels in your floral bouquets or giving them away as a wedding favor. You can also decorate the reception and ceremony areas with them. Even use them as the groom’s boutonnieres! No matter what you decide to do with them, your guests will love them!

The White Party

Many brides and grooms have trouble picking out wedding colors. This is only one of the most important decisions when planning a wedding. Wedding colors express the bride’s and groom’s personality. Will the wedding be traditional? Or ,will the colors fit into a more modern wedding color scheme?

If you are having trouble finalizing a wedding color palette, my suggestion is to turn your wedding into a white party. A monochromatic white wedding is very chic. White weddings tend to be more upscale and luxurious in atmosphere. However, there are ways to make a wedding in white seem more laid back, if this is what you are looking for. That’s the wonderful thing about the color white; it goes with everything!

If you are going for a luxurious look, try white roses as the wedding flower along with white feathers. If you would like a simple, relaxed wedding, think about having white daisies and white wild flowers.
