Villa Siena is a beautiful wedding venue located in Arizona.  Not only is the venue itself gorgeous, but the staff is dedicated to helping couples plan a unique and custom event.  Most couples are focused on having a wedding that is personal and designed around them.  At Villa Siena, brides and grooms work with an on-site coordinator to pull together a wedding based on their vision.

Learn more about this elegant venue in my interview with Sabrina, of Villa Siena, below.

How long has your venue been in business/ How long has it been a wedding venue?
We opened Villa Siena in December of 2004 and the facility was built as an event venue.

What makes your venue unique?
Villa Siena is an elegant Tuscan Style Villa hosting private weddings and events. Beautifully manicured courtyards, exquisite banquets halls and a gallery colonnade combine to recreate historic Italian architecture. Tuscan antiques and architectural details have been used throughout the Villa to create a romantic European experience. We would be delighted to share the beauty of Villa Siena with you.

What is your venue’s philosophy when working with wedding couples?
At Villa Siena, we custom tailor each contract to fit the client’s needs. Some clients want to search out each vendor and hire them all independently. Others prefer for us to arrange the event in its entirety. We are happy to work with each client and help them with as little or as much as they need.

Tell us why you think your venue is a popular choice for brides and grooms.
Many clients comment that they feel as though they have been transported to Europe when they step through the wrought iron gates at Villa Siena.

Is there a particular niche you target?
We love to work with clients planning extraordinary, elegant affairs.

How do you help couples customize their weddings?
Every client has something that is important to them. We always make sure that the important things happen and that each client received the TLC they deserve on their wedding day.

At what point in the planning process do you typically work with couples?
From beginning to end!

Is there anything else you’d like to share about your business?
Villa Siena hosts only one event per evening. Clients and their guests enjoy complete privacy as they celebrate on their special day.

Location, Location, Location!

I just came across one of the most incredible wedding venues EVER and had to write a blog post about it!  It truly needs no words…but here is a brief history anyway.  Built in 1951, the Wayfarers Chapel is spectacularly perched on a hillside in Rancho Palos Verdes, California overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The chapel’s design was conceived by Lloyd Wright, son of the renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, as a “tree chapel” set in the midst of a forest.  It is said that Lloyd Wright’s design is one of the foremost examples of Organic Architecture.  Stunning, isn’t it?!

Expect the Unexpected

It is a busy wedding season here in Boston, as I was reminded recently when chatting with the wonderful man at Boston Harbor Hotel who helped make our wedding so special.  Between his Thursday afternoon and Monday morning he had three weddings to attend to – three!  Yikes.  But the good news about that (aside from booming business) is that there are endless sources of inspiration from which we wedding folks can draw.

So with an abundance of weddings packing our schedules, those of us in planning mode (whether recreationally or professionally) must be extra careful to create unique events.  Of course there are many ways to do this, but one of my favorite ways is to move the whole event to an interesting place.  Here are a few I find especially cool:

The Sculpture Park – for those who love the outdoors but want to surround themselves and their guests with conversation pieces

The Art Museum – beautiful, vast spaces filled with inspiring paintings and drawings

The Library – bookish couples can celebrate love among the stacks

The Schoolyard - what’s more romantic for a couple who met in school than getting married on the grounds of your alma mater?

Vendor Interview: Raffaldini Vineyards

Raffaldini Vineyards is a gorgeous wedding venue located in North Carolina.  If you want a beautiful wedding at an Italian Vineyard but can’t get all of your guests to travel to Italy for the occasion … Raffaldini Vineyards is a great way to get an authentic Italian experience while staying in the States!

They are the only exclusively Italian vineyard in NC and also grow several varieties that are not found anywhere else on the East Coast. Most couples who choose Raffaldini for their wedding venue want an alternative wedding or a beautiful location with outdoor options for both ceremonies and receptions. The Raffaldini family work with couples to accommodate their needs and plan the wedding of their dreams!

What is your company’s philosophy when working with wedding couples?
We basically “adopt” our brides and grooms and their families into “La Famiglia Raffaldini.” Since we end up having several meetings together and spend time together, we get to know them and their likes and dislikes. By the time their wedding date arrives we find ourselves longing to stay and watch the ceremony!

How do you help couples customize their weddings?
We offer a variety of ceremony locations and set up options to help keep things fresh and tailor each wedding to our clients. If we haven’t done it yet and it’s a good idea then we will certainly find a way to make it work!

At what point in the planning process do you typically work with couples?
As the location, we are usually the first ones they contact; but we get folks at all stages of the process.
