Have you ever thought about incorporating something fun for your guests to do during your cocktail hour and wedding reception instead of the bouquet and garter toss?
Let’s face it, I think many more couples were matched playing a game than from catching the bridal bouquet and the subsequent garter belt during a wedding reception (those odds are slim to none, right!?!?). If you’re having an outdoor wedding reception, there are plenty of options for games. Cricket anyone?
What about a cute game of “hook a duck”? You could even have a prize awarded to the person with the most ducks hooked or one duck in the pond has a $100 dollar bill stuffed inside and whoever finds it gets to keep it. That’s enough incentive to get all age groups interested in this game.
You can never go wrong with a good old-fashioned game of bean bag toss, ring toss or bowling. The rules are simple and it’s a great way to get everybody cheering and having fun. These games are games of skill so you don’t even need prizes to get everybody going … just the bragging rights alone are usually enough.
