One of the hottest floral trends this season is to have bridesmaid bouquets that don’t match. Whether they are different combinations of similar flowers or completely different bouquets that just share the same color scheme … not matching your bridesmaids bouquets has never been more chic.

Not sure how to make the bridesmaids bouquets go with your bouquet? Have your bouquet be a mix of lots of different blooms and then break each of the bridesmaids bouquets out into a specific bloom. For instance, if your bouquet has hydrangea, roses, lisianthus, sweetpea, and callas in it — then the girls can each carry a bouquet of just roses, just lisianthus, just hydrangea, just sweetpea and just callas. Then they would look similar because they are the same color, just different blooms in each. The florist can make them similar in size and charge you a flat rate for all of them, then the ones that are cheaper will compensate for the ones that have pricier blooms.
You could also just carry a traditional bouquet yourself, and then have the girls have mix & match flowers that compliment your bouquet. If you have a lot of colors in your wedding, bring them into the bouquet as a mix that each of the bridesmaids carry but no two are the same.
If you are interested in this trend, but too scared to embrace mismatched blooms–you can also change up the handle-wraps on the bouquets to make for a mix & match look instead. There are no rules that say the handle wrap HAS to match their dress or the flower colors. It’s your wedding,…YOU make the rules!
