Wedding Ceremony from Just for You Photography

Becky from Just for You Photography sent me photos from Brandon and Mallory’s intimate wedding ceremony. Becky and Mallory have been close friends since they were little so this was an extra special event for Becky to photograph. I am loving the colorful bridal bouquet!

Becky: Brandon and Mallory getting married was always a for sure thing, none of us every questioned it. They are one of the cutest couples and the best of friends. They do everything together, rarely fight and know how to balance one another out. They are a gorgeous couple, and I am so happy for them both.

Mallory’s wedding was on the hottest day in September, but we had our run of Duffy’s Golf Course. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is interested in an out-door ceremony. An absolutely stunning spot. From fall colours to modern dresses and stunning flowers; it was a day I will never forget as a friend or photographer.

A wedding cake says a lot about a couple. Wedding cakes today come in all shapes and sizes!  Some are very traditional – all white with a simple design. Others are brightly colored with intricate designs. It really depends on the couple’s taste and the style of the wedding.

A very popular option for the modern bride is having cupcakes instead of a wedding cake! Cupcakes are a lovely addition to any wedding day. They are easy to serve to your guests and a great way to provide different flavor options. They can even be homemade!

You still have the option for customization and beautiful designs when it comes to cupcakes. Just look below to see different ideas for cupcakes at your wedding.

Surprise Proposal from Carrie Wildes Photography

I always get excited whenever photographers share proposals with me! Wedding proposals are a sweet, romantic and (of course) life changing event. Having it documented is a wonderful idea. And guys, don’t worry!  You can have your proposal photographed or on video without her knowing about it! Most wedding photographers love the opportunity to work on surprise proposals!

For example… Here is Adam’s proposal to Marcella from Carrie Wildes Photography.

Carrie:Marcella thought she was coming to Florida for a nice Memorial Day weekend getaway. Adam called me about a month before their trip and told me how he wanted to propose to the love of his life and have it photographed without her knowing. I remember him asking me if I thought that was a good idea. Um… YES! So, we planned it all out and I was so nervous because I didn’t want her to see me but I wanted to make sure I captured those sweet moments and emotions. She said yes and didn’t see me until after she had :-) It was such a joy to be a part of. I remember the surprise when I got engaged and I love seeing people so happy! Adam had planned to have extra outfits for them so we could do their actual engagement session right after. And this is the epitome of why I am so blessed. Congrats you guys!!

A Hint Of Mint Bar

signature wedding cocktails

While looking through some of the wedding inspiration that I’ve held onto over time, I ran across this lovely photo shoot at Green Wedding Shoes and could not get enough of the sweet, southern inspired Hint of Mint Bar.

To say that this photo shoot is cute is an understatement… it is absolutely gorgeous and oh so sweet.  The thought of having a Hint of Mint Bar at an outdoor southern wedding, on a cool spring day, is a perfect pairing!  In the words of the designer… Guests could create their own cocktail with their choice of bourbon + sweet tea (southern style) OR rum and peach nectar (cali style), then muddle some mint, and select their type of sugar + fruit.

Having signature drinks, especially with a themed wedding, ties everything together so well.  The menu specifically spelling out the drink and the ingredients, is a great way to keep your guests engaged as to why you chose those particular drinks.

No detail was forgotten with this wedding Hint of Mint Bar… the labeled juices and straws are adorable and the oatmeal whopping pies for desert are perfect!  I Love Southern Hospitality!
