We’re loving these photos from Ching and Brad’s Portland wedding because they show how the couple incorporated culture and family traditions into their wedding day to make it more personal.  They chose a traditional chinese color palette, had a tea ceremony and a chinese dragon dance.  Angela from Tekoa Rose Photography captured all of the details from their day.
Angela: Â When I first met Ching and Brad for coffee to discuss the possibility of me photographing their wedding, I knew they were special. I left that meeting thrilled that they’d hired me but also just glad to have met them. They struck me as such incredibly genuine, kind people. Being able to witness their wedding in such an intimate way, as their photographer, left me feeling like I’d made new friends.
The ceremony at City Bible Church in Portland was beautiful and worshipful as well joyous and filled with lots of laughter. I adore their bright color palette of traditional Chinese red and bright blue. They incorporated beautiful cultural details like umbrellas for the bridesmaids as well as many personal touches to make it specialized and unique such as a children’s choir full of Ching’s students and a bow from the ring bearers at the end of the ceremony. One of the most unique things about their wedding reception was a surprise to the guests. A traditional Chinese Dragon dance was performed to the delight of everyone watching. It was amazing. They also had a tea ceremony with the close family which was beautiful to watch.

Congratulations Ching and Brad!
