When I first saw this photo by André Gonçalves I thought… No way.  Those levels of blue pools are stunning!  Is this real life?  Does this place actually exist on planet earth?  And, if so (to quote Tina Fey or shall I say Liz Lemon)… I want to go to there.

Upon further research I learned that yes, this is in fact real life.  In Turkey.  This photo was taken in Pamukkale which is located near the city of Denizli, a gorgeous location with natural hot springs and terraces.   And, aptly named, Pamukkale means cotton candy in Turkish.  For those of you dreaming of living a land of cotton candy, this is apparently the place for you.

So what am I getting at here?  Color.  Stunning color palettes can be easily pulled from the world we live in.  The world most of us live in might not be so breathtaking… but still, there are pretty palettes all around us!

I think these colors would make lovely accent colors for a spring wedding.  They remind me of colors you’d see in a succulent floral arrangement like the one below.  Are you using any of these colors in your wedding plans?
