I just love seeing weddings that break the mold and really show the personality of the bride and groom! Carrie and Joe planned a whimsical wedding filled with nature themed and handmade details, all with a surreal twist. Here to show it off is Nikki from Nikki Nicole Photography!

Nikki: This wedding was unique as the couple themselves. Joe, the groom, is an illustrator and sculptor. He participates in many gallery shows. Carrie, the bride, is an art teacher and makes her own jewelry. She also participates in many gallery showings which is how they met. Carrie and Joe made the invitations and programs and also casted all their own sculpture wedding favors with a face of each other on a tree of life. Carrie also made all the jewelry the girls and herself wore. Their wedding was based on surrealism and all their guests participated in dressing the part with bright color or fun, unusual outfits and foot wear. Their wedding was nestled in nature outside at sunset at a nature museum and farm … adding to the theme of their wedding. All the details were thought out very carefully and most made made by the bride and groom. This wedding was truly unique and reflected the personalities of the Carrie and Joe.

And on to the reception! …

Congratulations Carrie & Joe!!
