Maris, of Maris Ehlers Photography, sent in this week’s real wedding from Minneapolis. Mindy and Michael were married in a lovely outdoor ceremony that was followed by a charming reception at the Walker Art Center.
Maris: “This was truly a fantastic wedding. The girls all got ready at the historic Ivy Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, and went by limo to the amazing landmark, the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden where the gorgeous outdoor fall ceremony was held. With the reception at the ultra cool and glamorous Walker Art Center, we had photo ops galore! The first look and most of the formal portraits were taken in the Hennepin Lounge at the Walker, and the reception was in the Skyline room with a view of the city of Minneapolis. Wolfgang Puck Catering provided the scrumptious prime rib dinner, and the colors and beauty of the day were truly magical!”
Here is a little from Mindy about the planning leading up to the big day and her advice to other brides-to-be…
Mindy: “The planning process was hectic at first, my advice to new brides is to book your location right away but the rest of the stuff can be stretched out. There are tons of businesses that do all the details and you can find great vendors if you take your time. I personally went with a lot of unknown vendors (word of mouth recommendations) and was very happy with all of them … and it saved a ton of money!”
Mindy: ” Overall it was a wonderful day full of love. Susan, our officiant, did a beautiful ceremony, very personal and moving to both me and Mike. We were surrounded by 150 of our favorites people, friends and family alike.”
Congratulations Mindy and Michael!
