Laura and Zac’s rustic fall wedding was a beautiful event complete with charming decor and details. Neutral tones in the reception decor paired with bright fall florals were the perfect fit for the season. Sweetgrass Social Event and Design worked with the couple to bring their vision to life.
Sweetgrass: Because they were having a fall wedding, Laura wanted fall colors but she didn’t want her wedding to be cliché fall décor, so we incorporated natural autumn hues in the wedding through the floral design, vintage décor, and table decorations. In particular, we highlighted the pretty fall colors in the flower design and accented it with the couple’s boho style by adding in wooden boxes, succulents, wooden chandeliers, and a vintage telephone placed between the restrooms. We decorated the restroom doors with childhood pictures of the bride and groom. We also added vintage postcards and mailbox for a guest book, terrariums that accented the fireplace mantel, along with both the bride and groom’s parents and grandparents wedding pictures.
On the wedding day a bride and groom are king and queen so we found some fabulous vintage green chairs to match their color palette to be their “thrones” at the bridal party table. Laura and Zac wanted a very whimsical yet cozy outdoor ceremony. We brought in a gorgeous oriental rug for the two of them to stand on during the ceremony to cozy the place and bring home to their ceremony. Laura decided to walk down the isle to a nontraditional song and had a soloist sing “The Second Star to the Right” from the original Peter Pan as she walked in. It was absolutely gorgeous!
