When I saw these photos of Amanda and DJ’s post wedding Trash the Dress shoot from Mike L. Photography I was excited to share them here on WedLoft!  The photos came out great and I just couldn’t believe that a dry cleaner was able to get all of the color out of Amanda’s dress after the shoot (see below for the details)!

Mike: We met up in Nelson, Nevada which is a ghost town about 40 minutes outside of Vegas. We did some shots around town, while trying to get Amanda ready for trashing her dress. She was a little nervous once she saw the Holi Powder (which is basically colored flour) but she was determined to do it.

So, we headed down the way outside of Nelson to the Colorado River. With a little liquid courage from some Tequila she was carrying around, the holi powder was released! And I don’t think she was even concerned anymore. :) We had so much fun and eventually got them in the water for some very cool shots without getting her dress wet.

And then they decided to add some color…

Mike:  After the shoot, we dared her to take her dress into the cleaners and see if they could get it clean. We always wanted someone to do this following a trash the dress just to see what a dry cleaner would say. Anyway, believe it or not, they were able to completely clean her dress. There was no evidence that a holi powder tornado o’ fun ever happened. How cool is that?!
