Guest books are a nice keepsake for couples to remember the loved ones they were surrounded by on their special day. From traditional to modern, here are a couple of ideas to consider for your cherished memento.
Standard Guest book for Weddings
The standard guest book is still found at weddings today allowing guests to sign in and write their mailing address for the couple to keep in touch with after the wedding. This is also helpful for Thank You cards and to verify if any addresses have changed since you mailed out your wedding invitations.
A personalized guest book frame is something the couple can display in their new home after the wedding. Well wishes are written around a favorite wedding picture of the bride and groom. Some couples also choose to include a silver plate at the bottom of the frame to engrave their names along with their wedding date.
Photo Guest book
Something I have found more commonly at recent weddings is a photo guest book that includes favorite photos from the couple. This guest book is very similar to the standard guest book but allows the bride and groom to customize the book as an additional place to display photos of them.
A Unique Wedding Guest Book
This is a unique idea that captures how long you have known your guests. A map of years can be put on display for guests to come and mark the year they met the bride and/or groom. Flags are provided at the sign-in table for guests to write their names on. It’s amazing to see the representation of how long you have known friends, family and loved ones.
I saw this guest book used most recently at a friend’s wedding in Dallas. It’s similar to a coloring book page but allows your guests to get a little creative with their wishes by using their artistic abilities to draw a photo of the couple. This is a cute idea and is something fun for the couple to look at together after the wedding.
The Flip Camera is an easy-to-use handheld HD camera that couples can choose as a modern guest book for guests to record their well wishes. While the videographer may also capture these messages, a member of your family or wedding party can also use the Flip Camera at the reception to record guests’ wishes before they are seated.
