Looking for custom wedding invitations and paper goods? Well, today you’re in for a treat! I’m so happy to introduce you to the The Blue Envelope! Amanda, the wonderful talent behind The Blue Envelope, creates customized designs for couples. As she says on their site, “The design process starts with defining your needs and style, and it ends with the perfect invitation for your occasion and your budget!” … One of her most popular designs (and also my personal favorite) is her mason jars. I think these would be adorable for couples who are planning to use mason jars in their wedding details and decor!
What options for customization do you offer?
We are a fully customized invitation business. If you see an idea or concept you like on our website we can fully customize each piece to fit your needs style and overall theme for your wedding day. We love being creative and coming up with new and unique ideas for wedding invitations and paper goods. We want you to wow your guests and give them a sneak peek into your beautiful wedding day.
What makes your service unique?
We are constantly trying to come up with new ideas to create something different that no one has ever seen before. We like to use all different kinds of elements throughout our invitations such as burlap, fabric, twine, lace, different shapes etc… We aren’t as big on doing all the graphic images that people normally see, we want the overall invitation to speak for itself. Our main goal is to produce the highest quality and most unique product for least amount of cost to our client.
What is your biggest challenge when working on a wedding?
Most of our brides are from all over the country. Communicating over long distance can sometimes be challenging. If I could afford to travel to each bride’s location and meet with them face-to-face I would. It would be so great to be able to sit down over coffee and chat about their vision.
What inspired you to start your business?
I have always loved being creative and trying things in different ways. I created my own wedding invitations and to be honest I was so over seeing the same style of invitation in the mail all the time. After designing my own wedding invitations I was asked by a friend’s sister if I knew of any ideas for her rustic wedding. I started brainstorming and coming up with these fun exciting designs for using burlap and mason jars throughout her wedding from start to finish. It was so awesome to see the pictures of her wedding and how her invitations, save the dates and programs all tied into the overall look of her wedding. After 6 months of doing invitations part time and working at another job full time I decided it was time to take our business to another level and started invitation design full time. I have loved every minute of it and wouldn’t change a thing!
