I am almost 30 days from my wedding so it is CRUNCH time!! I actually went to a wedding today and it was a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The wedding colors were pink and brown … but more pink than brown. It took me back to when Erik and I were discussing wedding color choices. We are getting married on the beach in North Miami and my first choice was to have a pink and green theme. I was thinking of having a dark green with a vibrant pink and splashes of black. I used a watermelon as my color palette.

This is such a beautiful color palette for a wedding!  I would have used Gerber daisies for the bouquets.

The bridesmaids could wear alternating green and pink.

I would have had watermelon favors.

Green apples would be perfect as part of the centerpiece.

Everything, of course, would have run with the theme. I even tried to design a watermelon save the date. However, all of my visions came to a halt when I realized that Erik did not share the pretty in pink and green wedding idea.

All of this leads me back to the wedding I attended today … where everything was pink with some brown. It was absolutely beautiful and I hope the bride today was happy with it.  The pink thing worked out very well for this couple but it just wasn’t for us.

I will, however, keep the watermelon invitation/color scheme for a BBQ in the future!
