One wedding detail that is often overlooked during the planning process is the chairs. You can choose to dress up the chairs at your ceremony, the bride and groom chairs at the reception or all the chairs at the reception… It may seem like a minor detail but what your chairs wear can actually have a major effect on the overall look of your wedding! It can certainly give your event some surprising charm. I love the ways couples are getting creative with their wedding chairs! So, of course, I rounded up some inspiration for you. Enjoy!
Signs – Signs are a simple and cute way to set the bride and groom chairs apart from the rest.
Ribbon & Fabric – Many couples today are leaving the chair covers behind and are using draped fabric, sashes and ribbon instead. Whether you’re going for a look that is simple and sweet or something more elaborate, dressing up your chairs can completely transform your event!
Covers – If you like the idea of full covers, there are still plenty of ways to give your chair covers a modern look!
Other Details – Wreaths, flowers… popcorn? Couples today are using all kinds of details to decorate their wedding chairs! Get creative! Sometimes the most unusual ideas can end up being the perfect match for your wedding decor.
When I came across Erika & Jenni’s chair decor that doubled as their wedding favors, I knew I had to include it in this post! These popcorn boxes fit in with the red and white color scheme of the wedding and the couple added a little note at each setting reading “She POPPED the question, so we TIED the knot”… such a cute idea!
