My favorite part of the wedding is the colors! How will the bride and groom express themselves visually? The attire, the flowers, the cake, the invitations—there are so many ways to infuse color throughout the wedding. The possibilities are truly endless!

From time to time, I thought it would be fun to look at various color combinations to generate ideas for the newly engaged! Many brides opt for just two colors, which I have read is the most traditional, but more and more brides are choosing a third or even fourth color, which act as accents. As always, I leave that decision to you! No matter how many you choose, use the colors on as many details as possible so that they don’t get lost in translation!

For this post, I chose to look at pale pinks and black! It is such a simple way to play the contrast between feminine and masculine, while at the same time adding a formal flair! I love it!

Here are some real wedding examples using pale pink and black.

Need more ideas? Here are a couple inspiration boards! As always, the Martha Stewart Weddings site is a great place for ideas. I love the bouquet of anemones in the first board!
