Good morning brides! We have some fun goodies to share with you today! First of all, if you have not yet visited the UncommonGoods site, we recommend doing so right away. BUT be warned! It is very likely that you are about to get sucked in for quite some time scouring over all cool stuff they have!
They recently sent us a few items to check out for ourselves and we couldn’t wait to crack open the package when we found it on our doorstep! In our wonderful little shipment we received three super cool items – the Soji Stella Solar Lanterns, the Wine for Two and the Reclaimed Slate Cheese Board. As it turns out, you could combine these three items for stylish little event!
What did we think about these wonderful gifts? Well, we’re glad you asked…
Michelle Weighs In on Wine for Two: I think the Wine for Two is wayy cool! Why’s that? This item is made from a retired oak wine barrel.. one side even has the red stain to boot! Not only is this a fun way to display a bottle of wine and wine glasses, it’s a great conversation piece to have in your kitchen or dining room. The beau and I often venture out to our patio for some wine and cozy time around the fire pit. Wine for Two makes for easy transport and also acts as a holder for our glasses while we roast marshmallows! This would make a really fun gift for couples too… wine lovers, if you will. At twenty dollars, it is reasonably priced and certainly uncommon. With the holidays around the corner, I’m totally keeping this in mind to buy as a swap gift. I can definitely see this being the “hot-ticket” item in a swap!
Stacy Weighs In on Reclaimed Slate Cheese Board: Oh, baby…I LOVE this slate cheese board! I am a huge fan of turning reclaimed materials into fun and unique gifts. The cheese boards are made from real elementary school chalkboards. How cool is that? This cheese board would make a fabulous housewarming, holiday, wedding or birthday present for one of your most favorite peeps! Trust me, there will be no regifting here. The cheese board is nicely sized and pretty substantial in weight…without being too bulky or cumbersome to handle. The cheese board also comes with a piece of chalk and a little note about how the cheese board was made, which is a nice touch. Two thumbs UP on this one, folks!
Amy Weighs In on Soji Stella Solar Lanterns: Having a backyard wedding and need decor that looks as great during the day as it does at night? Then you’ll love the Stella Solar Lanterns from Uncommon Goods. These light-weight lanterns are super cute and provide ambient light for 4-6 hours when charged in direct sun for 4 hours. They are very easy to assemble and come in three earthy colors — silver, blue and bronze. One thing that I love about these little gems is that they are not at all weddingy, so you can easily use them after your wedding at any backyard soiree! But, no one said you have to use them outside. The great thing is that once these lanterns are charged, you can use them anywhere!
