Featured New England Wedding Photographer: John LoConte
This week’s featured photographer is John LoConte. John is a seasoned photographer who is an absolute pleasure to have at any wedding! I have been fortunate enough to have been in one of the weddings that John has recently shot and it was a great experience working with him! He shot my sister’s wedding this September and is very excited to share his photographs with all of our brides and grooms!
Fun & Romantic Wedding Photography
A Note from John: “I am (along with my wife!) the owner of JohnLo Photography. We are a full time wedding photography business serving the New England area. I believe in creating a beautiful selection of wedding photographs for a reasonable price. My style of photography is fun, candid, romantic and photojournalistic. I also shoot the more traditional formal portraits to satisfy the parents! On October 4th 2009 we celebrated our one year anniversary of being in business by exhibiting at our first bridal convention in Boston, MA. On average I shoot 45-50 weddings per year and enjoy every second of them!”
After 8 years of dating, high school sweethearts Kristina and Paul were married on September 18, 2009 in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the ocean in their hometown Gloucester, MA. John started shooting this day a little differently than usual. First he went to the groom’s house where the guys were running around trying to look as good as possible for the big day. He couldn’t help but laugh to hear one of the groomsmen say “Come on dude, fix my vest for me!”
After mixing it up with the boys for a bit, John headed to the wedding ceremony and reception venue where Kristina and her girls were getting ready in the bridal sweet on the top floor. He joined in with the fun and laughing while the girls were getting ready. One of his favorite shots of the day is one of Kristina struggling to get into her gown without wrecking her hair.
The outdoor ceremony went off without a hitch. The couple wrote their own vows which really surprised their friends and family and made for a very touched and teary-eyed group of guests.
After the ceremony, the wedding party headed across the street to take pictures on the rocks by the water.
The wedding party surprised the guests by performing a choreographed dance when introduced into the reception.
They set the mood for the night with their dance and they, along with all of the guests, danced the rest of the night away! John could not believe that the group of about 150 people danced to every single song that the DJ pumped through his system.
John: ” I am so happy for Kristina & Paul and thank them so much for their kindness to me on the big day. I’m super excited for everybody to see these images and I cannot wait to share even more weddings with you in the upcoming weeks. Enjoy!”
Thank you John for sharing your photos … and for making my sister’s experience with her wedding photography so amazing! We look forward to seeing more from you!
