This week’s featured professional wedding photographer is, Texas born and bred, Stacy Reeves. Stacy is a photographer inspired by romance and true happiness – the gentle touch, the knowing look, the tight embrace – all those things that make her heart flutter.

Traditional Wedding Pictures Create Beautiful Wedding Images

Stacy: “I adore all things southern, from the friendly hospitality to the love of family and heritage to an affinity for sweet tea and good old fashioned BBQ. As a result, my wedding pictures are more traditional than others- I’m definitely not the type to do something crazy and out-there just to be different – but I’m actually pretty darn proud of that. It’s important to me that my images be timeless; I want my brides to look at their photos when they’re 30, 40, 60, 90, and still feel that they are beautiful wedding images, not laugh at how outdated the images look. At the same time, I was definitely not raised on a ranch – I’m from Dallas and I’m very much a city girl, so I try to infuse a little bit of fashion and modernity into my work, as well.”

Today Stacy has chosen to share the wedding of Rebecca and Erik, which took place in Jefferson, TX.

Stacy: “This wedding was one of my favorites, because they really went out of their way not only to infuse their personalities into their wedding, but also to make sure that all of their close friends had a great time. It was also one of my favorites because it happened in Jefferson, TX, which is a little town in northeast Texas that has the character and aesthetic of New Orleans, with that small-town Texas charm and an easygoing vibe. There must be something in the air of Jefferson that just makes you kick back and relax, because this was one of the least stressful weddings I’ve ever seen.”

The bride and her girls got ready in a Bed and Breakfast filled with beautiful antique details. Before the ceremony Rebecca and Erik, along with the wedding party, got together for some pictures.

The ceremony was in a beautiful 150 year old church and the reception that followed was at the Carnegie Library.

During the Reception Rebecca changed into a party dress along with blue heels and a feather headpiece. When the reception came to an end, the couple headed downtown for the after party.

Stacy: “I truly believe that I have the greatest job in the world, and I enjoy it every single day. These two are so loving with each other, it seems like they can’t look at each other without smiling, and the happiness between them is positively infectious. Their wedding is easily one of my favorite memories from my career!”

Rebecca and Erik even got up early the next morning for a “Day After” session with Stacy.
